STRORY
The original Sapporo Sushi opened in 1995 in the heart of North Toronto serving fresh sushi and sashimi expertly prepared by Young Ham for over 13 years until his retirement. Young’s sons, Charles and Mike, took over their father’s business and continued the family tradition in Richmond Hill, Ontario. In March 2017, after careful research and preparation. the Ham brothers opened Ottawa’s first Sapporo Sushi to serve sushi and sashimi lovers in the great city of Ottawa and surrounding neighborhoods.
Our culinary philosophy is simply about returning to basics. Always starting with carefully selected, time-honoured ingredients, our sauces, stocks and dishes have been perfected over 25 years of experience and tradition. As purveyors of Japanese cuisine we also do our best to incorporate seasonal selections into our dishes. Our mission is to write a new history of Japanese cuisine in Ottawa and we hope to do it with youÂ
